Outpatient Clinical Trainee
As a Clinical trainee, I find it important to create a therapeutic connection and space where individuals can come and feel comfortable while we collaboratively work to learn, unlearn, build awareness, and be mindful of patterns that may or may not need changing (etc.). Together will find the tools that will help you bridge the gap between where you are right now and where you want to be by getting into your mind and body!
I have been working diligently to become a part of the mental health community by going to school for my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s degree in co-occurring disorders and addictions counseling. I have my Alcohol and Drug license (LADC) and I’m currently pursuing my second license as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). In the meantime, I take it upon myself to continue my learning journey and focus on therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and a holistic Person-Centered approach that respects the unique intersecting factors that make up each person.
While I am passionate about mental health I also love getting out in nature (hammocks at regional parks!), animals (currently have three kitties that I might be allergic to), books (love lots of fantasy fiction and sci-fi), time with loved ones, and a good laugh. I welcome all the jokes, even the knock-knock ones!
