School-Based Mental Health Intern; STMA High School
As a therapist, I value connection and belonging in my space. I utilize strengths-based, empowerment, and relational approaches to therapy. I integrate art, music, play, and mindfulness activities into my practice while focusing on enhancing the overall well-being of my clients. I believe in being my genuine and authentic self with clients in their healing process.
I am currently in my second year of my Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I recently worked as an Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services practitioner (ARMHS), in which I completed skills work with 18+ year olds with severe and persistent mental illness. Most of my experience is with youth ages 6-15, in emotional regulation groups, after school programs, day programs, and summer camps. I am trained in trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, mindfulness, and emotional regulation.
I am an avid reader, especially Mystery and Thriller books! I spend most of my free time outdoors, either camping, hiking, kayaking, or reading in my hammock. I love to chat about all types of music and movies as well!
