School-Based Therapist; Hastings Middle School
Therapy is a powerful process of connection, discovery, uncovering strengths to navigate challenges and healing from unforeseen events that occur in all our lives. I believe in a holistic individual, family and systematic approach to assist in the healing process. My desire is to provide support and encouragement while utilizing experiential, creative and traditional therapeutic methods.
I have extensive experience with at risk populations, providing clinical services to children, adolescents, adults and families within the home, school, community and office, while incorporating the impact of race and poverty. I have utilized various treatment modalities and interventions appropriate to persons and/or families. Some of these modalities include, crisis intervention, solution focused, family systems, structural and strategic methods, CBT, client centered, motivational interviewing, trauma informed methods noted as somatic experiencing, mindfulness and yoga.
