School-Based Mental Health Clinical Trainee; Woodbury High School
I use a person-centered, strength-based approach to join alongside clients in their pathway to growth and healing. I work collaboratively with clients and their families to identify and work towards their goals. I believe that building a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship and environment is essential to effective therapy. I integrate trauma-informed, CBT, and family systems approaches to encourage client’s to establish healthy patterns of behavior, utilize their personal strengths, and connect to themselves.
I have been working within the field of mental health and education for more than 4 years. Throughout this time, I have had the opportunity to work with infants, children, adolescents, young adults and their families. These opportunities have included psychiatric residential treatment, corporate foster care and school-based settings.
