School Based Mental Health Clinical Trainee; Lake Middle School
I believe that therapy is bolstered when treated as a collaborative process to create individualized treatment and works to meet the client where they are at. It is my goal to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring and sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I emphasize empowerment and fostering connection and genuineness in the therapeutic environment, and in the client’s personal life, to enhance their overall well-being.
My professional experience includes working with children and adolescents, and their families, providing individual and skills-based therapy in group home and school-based settings. During this time, I engaged with clients who ranged in age from 4-18 and presented with a variety of concerns and mental health diagnoses. I’ve utilized expressive arts techniques in individual and group therapy, as well as individual play therapy.
I enjoy being a creative person in my free time through acting, singing, dancing, crafting, cosplaying, and writing. I love spending time going to concerts, thrift shopping, and volunteering with my local humane society.
