Psychotherapist Clinical Trainee
I strive to create an environment that offers clients to work towards healing, change, and hope. My major goal in providing therapy is to have a strong therapeutic relationship to improve the life of those who need healing. In therapy, I utilize client-centered, cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy. By working with clients and families I work towards the goal of healing and improving the life of my clients.
I have worked with individuals who have schizophrenia, bipolar, anxiety and depression for the past three years. In my graduate work I took courses with focus on a variety of mental illnesses. I have worked with clients who had dual disorders and expanded my knowledge in this field during my internship time from October 2023 through June 2024. With the knowledge I gained for the past three years in clinical mental health I am prepared to assist clients in the field of schizophrenia, bipolar, anxiety and major depression.
In addition to my therapist work, I like to exercise -mostly running, biking and swimming and play music in two different bands. My husband and I raised five children, and we have currently five pets -two dogs and three cats. Our second youngest son who is 20 lives in another part of our house and has one cat.
