Crisis Mental Health Practitioner
My goal is to is to educate my clients on all the resources they have available to them and help them tackle any obstacles or challenges they are facing. I want my clients to feel empowered and supported through this journey we call life.
I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in Sociology. I continued my education and received a master’s degree in k-12 school counseling. I was a school counselor for six years working with ages 6-21 on social, emotional, and career goals. I am very passionate about trauma Informed schools and wanted to incorporate that on a larger level, so I went back to school to get my master’s in educational leadership and was a principal for four years. I missed working one on one with clients and helping them be successful in their lives which is what brought me to Canvas Health. I am also working on getting my license in Alcohol and Drug Counseling.
When my family and I aren’t running around with sports (hockey, soccer, swimming, basketball, track, dirt biking and baseball), you will most likely find us outside (fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, ATVing, walking out chocolate late, swimming at the beach).
