School-Based Mental Health Clinical Trainee; Quora Education Center
Early mental health interventions empower children and adolescents to build healthy adult lives. I work collaboratively and compassionately with families to help children develop close emotional relationships, improve their sense of safety and control, regulate their behaviors and emotions, and develop a positive sense of self.
EMDR, CBT, polyvagal exercises, hypnotherapy, MATCH-ADTC, and play therapy are a few of the evidence-based interventions I use. Some of my clients present with traumatic stress disorders, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorders, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, disruptive, impulse-control, and conduct disorders, Tourette’s Syndrome, anxiety, depression, social skill deficits, and special education needs. Others just need a safe place to talk. As a therapist and educator, I have over 15 years of experience advocating for children and adolescents in school-based settings.
I have two boys, 13 and 22, and love to cheer them on at sports games. I also love to swim and write.
