Family Treatment Program Therapist
Jonah primarily draws on family systems, attachment, psychoeducation and Internal Family Systems (IFS), incorporating other modalities as needed. Jonah is fluent in Spanish, fully EMDR trained, and also has specialized training in the Developmental Repair Model to address trauma/behavioral concerns in early to mid-childhood with family therapy.
Jonah is a clinician who believes the therapeutic relationship is at the core of healing work, inviting clients to show up as their whole selves in the presence of another. They are both gentle and direct, wanting to get to know you as a whole in the context of your personal history, culture, spiritual life, and other intersections of your identity.
Jonah has over 7 years of experience working in the mental health field, including just under 4 years of experience in children’s mental health case management and just under a year of experience in Child Protection.
Prior to joining Canvas Health, Jonah has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including both outpatient therapy and an intensive early childhood day treatment program for children ages 3-7. In their last clinical role, Jonah specialized in treating attachment trauma and complex PTSD in adults with EMDR. Jonah also has additional specializations in working bilingually and biculturally with Latinx/Spanish speaking families and individuals, as well as the LGBTQ+ community.
