School-Based Therapist; Lucy Laney Elementary
The basis for a therapeutic relationship is connection. I take the stance of collaborator and advocate for children and their families as we navigate life’s individual and collective experiences. Drawing on trauma-informed, inclusive and evidence-based therapies, I bring creativity and playfulness to foster healing and growth.
I have extensive experience working with individuals and families who have been impacted by life experiences stressors. I utilize a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach. As much of my work is collaborative, I work with individuals to identify strengths and gain insight into barriers while navigating life’s challenges. Some of the modalities I use include crisis intervention, CBT, strengths-based therapy, and trauma-informed treatments such as EMDR, TF-CBT, hypnosis, play therapy, and sand therapy.
I am a fiber artist who knits, weaves, sews, and embroiders. My artistic abilities and drive to create are often used in therapy as a form of expression as well as stress reduction. I also enjoy baking, reading and biking.
