School Based Therapist; Big Woods Elementary School
My philosophy is rooted in the belief that a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful support and positive change. I am committed to creating an inclusive and space space where children feel acknowledged and understood. By fostering connections with them, as well as their families, I aim to empower them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Ultimately, my goal is to help them navigate complex challenges and build resilience, promoting long term well-being and success.
With approximately five years of experience as a social worker, I have had the opportunity to work with children across a variety of settings, including day treatment and outpatient programs. My main goal has been to help them navigate complex behavioral and emotional issues. I also have experience working with families and am familiar with the role they play in shaping the experiences of children.
I love spending time with my family and friends. Our favorite thing to do together is play board games, especially Catan. I also love to read and travel. I own a dog, named Bowie, who is obsessed with tennis balls and peanut butter.
