School-Based Therapist; Kenny/Armatage Elementary
I believe in the power of relationships and connection as an avenue for growth and healing. When people feel heard, validated, and understood, it makes all the difference. I want therapy to be a collaborative experience where we work together to identify the goals and steps to get to the desired outcome. I recognize my role as a therapist is temporary and I want to help individuals and families strengthen their connection and build their skill sets, so that their progress in therapy is sustainable beyond our work together. I understand people through a strengths-based, trauma informed lens and utilize evidence based strategies like TF-CBT and family therapy in my work. I truly enjoy getting to know my clients and the opportunity to be part of their journey.
I have worked at Canvas Health as a school based therapist since 2021. Prior to this, I provided individual and family therapy for youth ages 5 to 18 for a variety of mental health needs for both outpatient clients as well as those in day treatment and residential programs. I have experience providing services in an office setting, in-home and community-based, and via telehealth.
