Clinical Trainee; Karner Blue Education Center
I believe healthy families develop and grow when children and families feel safe and supported. I value collaborating with caregivers to help families strengthen their relationships, learn to understand their children in new ways, and promote overall development. I believe each child’s journey through the therapeutic process is unique to them and their lived experiences. I aim to meet children and their families where they are at, and provide tailored support to parents, caregivers, and children, however that may look.
My experience includes providing mental health services across various settings, including schools, homes, residential, inpatient, and community settings to children (ages 0-17), families, and caregivers. For 3 years, I provided mental health and crisis intervention services to children and adolescents in residential and inpatient facilities. I have also provided therapeutic services to children ages 5-12 with a variety of needs from trauma to behavioral disorders, within their home, school, and other community spaces. I completed my clinical internship within Canvas Health’s Early Childhood Behavioral Assistance program, providing family therapy services (PCIT) to children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. I am currently working as a school-based therapist providing services to elementary aged students in the Educational Mental Health Classroom at Karner Blue Education Center.
I have two black labs at home who are my everything, and I love to read for leisure! I love to spend time outside, hiking, canoeing, and camping. I also enjoy being creative in various artistic ways such as painting, art journaling, and mosaic/stain glass projects.
